Haier Mobiles has introduced a new model to their line of Pen Phones - the P7: HaierMobiles are very pleased to announce the Haier P7 Pen Phone: The ultimate in mobile handset design and technology. The very first pen phone in the world to feature a 65 thousand colour TFT screen and innovate ‘slide’ VGA camera.

The P7 is the HIGHLY anticipated predecessor to the groundbreaking Haier P5 & P6 models. It still retains its stunningly slender form, but that is where the similarities between older models end. The P7 is a totally new concept incorporating state of the art technologies such as GPRS, WAP2.0 and Digital Dictaphone. The P7 is also tri-band and can be used in virtually any country in the world where a GSM signal exists.

But this feature packed mobile phone is still simple to operate. The incorporation of a side mounted jog-dial and 4 way centre console with ‘joystick’ operation means that your numbers and photos are only a touch of a button away. In the area of innovations/studies, Siemens mobile is for the first time presenting a tri-band mobile phone offering all the features of a standard phone packaged in an unusual shape.

Siemens mobile's PenPhone will let users write virtual telephone numbers on anything and enter them in that form. But that's not all: thanks to the PenPhone's integrated handwriting recognition facility, they can write their SMS messages directly into the mobile phone. Whatever they use to write on, the PenPhone will interpret their hand movements as written words and translate them directly into the SMS editor. It couldn't be faster or more simple. 140 mm long and 19 mm in diameter, the "pen" will set new standards in miniaturization and convenience in mobile communication.

The Siemens Pen phone has two distinct advantages over the Nokia digital pen. The first and most important one is that it is a phone in itself. The second one which is as important is the integrated handwriting technology. The main benefit would be to users who SMS heavily. The device which was demonstrated at CeBit (Germany) year (2004) is unfortunately not yet decided if it goes into production. The PenPhone is able to recognize whatever letters or numbers you write on any surface. It translates the handwritten words or numbers directly into an SMS, which appears on the display. This handset, if you will allow me to call it that works on GSM triband technology.

Music Series phone from Spice Mobiles

A Good news for all the Music lovers who like to carry music in their mobile phones.

After introducing its 'first-time-in-India' Dual Sim-card phone - (Spice Dual D-80, D-88 ), Spice Mobiles has now come up with a new Music Edition phone.

Called S-7, this latest edition to their range has 1.3 mega-pixel camera for unlimited video recording, which€“ can also be used as web cam. With A2DP technology, one can listen to music with their wireless blue-tooth handset without having to put up with those cumbersome wires. This phone can also be used as a modem.

Also: has Java-enabled, 262K color display, 500+ Phone book & sms entries and competitively priced ( Rs. 6999).

Will this be any threat to Nokia's Music Series phones.? One has to wait and watch.
